WHAT YOU WILL DO

• The Senior Group Manager, Technical Training oversees the development and deployment of dealer technical training. Modalities include instructor-led and digital training curriculum. This position also leads, develops, and implements dealer technician Recruitment, Education & Retention to drive dealer profitability and customer satisfaction. This role also oversees Hyundai’s learning management system for technical training.
• Effectiveness of training will be measured by industry benchmarking surveys (Carlisle, NADA, etc.), satisfaction surveys (internal, JD Power, etc), as well as Fixed Right First Time measurements. This position is highly collaborative internally and works directly with sales, aftersales, dealer development, regions, field, and dealers.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Technical Training Development & Deployment

• Lead strategy, development, and delivery of technician training curriculum.
• Develop long-term plans for curriculum expansion, technology integration, and program scalability.
• Execute a data-driven web-based automotive technical training strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Lead development of future training solutions, including AI tools to improve technician retention and customer experience.
• Establish quality assurance processes to ensure training accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness.
• Partner with Facilities Team on Technical Training Center responsibilities.
• Support dealer technician recruiting and retention initiatives to increase productivity and capacity.
• Oversee technician rewards and recognition programs to improve retention and customer experience.
• Manage and enhance the Hyundai Military Liaison Program to support technician recruiting efforts.
• Support apprenticeship solutions that help dealers develop and assess new technicians.

Learning Management System (LMS)

• Lead strategic development of the technical training LMS.
• Serve as the primary liaison for LMS and technical training initiatives.
• Partner with internal teams, dealers, and stakeholders to develop next-generation LMS solutions.
• Manage LMS projects, assessments, RFPs, budgets, and implementation activities.
• Oversee reporting on LMS integration status and technical training activities.

Leadership

• Manage departmental budgets, recovery funds, and annual planning.
• Select, contract, and oversee vendor performance.
• Coach, develop, and manage staff and vendor resources.
• Coordinate training and travel for National and Regional staff.
• Set performance objectives and conduct evaluations.
• Participate in industry benchmarking and competitive strategy initiatives.
• Prioritize and approve LMS content, website builds, vendors, and policy changes.
• Oversee personnel development, expense reports, invoices, PRs, and time-off approvals.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

• Must be a high school graduate.

WHAT HYUNDAI CAN OFFER YOU

• Compensation Range: $149,800 - $214,000
• Monthly Hyundai/Genesis vehicle lease allowance (including insurance and maintenance)
• Holiday Pay - the company shuts down with pay between Christmas and New Years.
