Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Groundwater Modeler / Hydrogeologist to join our Site Investigation and Remediation team in the Greater Philadelphia area. You will contribute to hydrodynamic, sediment transport and water quality modeling projects, under supervision of senior modelers.

Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing environmental data, setting up models, performing QA, preparing reports and presentations, and engaging in project meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering/science or closely related field.
• 7+ years of experience in hydrodynamic or water quality modeling projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team.

Responsibilities

• Work under senior modelers using prescribed methods on modeling projects.
• Evaluate thermal impacts, contaminants and water quality parameters.
• Acquire, organize and analyze environmental data.
• Set up and execute mathematical models.
• Perform quality-control checks on model inputs and results.
• Participate in meetings, proposal preparation, reports and presentations.
• Develop statistical comparisons of model results and data.
