Haddonfield School District is seeking an Anticipated Supervisor of Grounds to maintain athletic fields, grounds, and safety for students and staff. The role requires leadership of grounds crews and coordination with the Facilities Director.

The ideal candidate has extensive turf management experience, NJ pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain it, and proficiency with record keeping and maintenance software; residency in NJ is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of commercial landscaping, golf course maintenance, or athletic field management with leadership experience.
• Demonstrated aptitude and competence in turf management for natural grass and synthetic surfaces.
• Possess or obtain NJ pesticide licensing and IPM certification within hiring timeframe.
• Physical ability to perform heavy labor outdoors and operate equipment in all weather.
• Valid NJ driver’s license and ability to pass background checks.

Responsabilités

• Oversees agronomic plans for natural grass, including mowing, aeration, overseeding, and fertilization.
• Supervises maintenance on synthetic turf, including grooming, decompaction, and seam inspection.
• Develops winter weather response plans for snow and ice removal.
• Maintains IPM logs in compliance with NJDEP School IPM Act and coordinates notifications.
• Coordinates field marking and equipment setup for PE programs and sports teams.
• Operates and maintains grounds equipment and tools; supervises daily staff schedules.
• Requisitions supplies and parts; assists Facilities Director with purchases and evaluations.
