Job summary

Astrion seeks an Advanced Ground Test Engineer to support MDA ground test planning and execution at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado. The role focuses on leading test planning, coordinating with government and contractor teams, and ensuring timely execution of HWIL and distributed tests.

Required qualifications include US citizenship, Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, a Bachelor’s in engineering, and 10+ years of DoD experience.

Qualifications

• US citizen is required.
• Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; MS preferred.
• 10+ years of experience with direct DoD experience.
• Experience with MDS/ground test environments is highly desired.
• MS in Engineering; BS with 15 total years may substitute for MS.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the ground test contractor team completes all planning and execution tasks on schedule.
• Coordinate with internal MDA and external stakeholders; present technical briefings.
• Support multiple efforts simultaneously, independently or in a team.
• Assist the ground test team to resolve issues in planning, integration, and analysis.
• Establish priorities and manage activities per Ground Test issuances; track documentation.
• Develop, submit, and track test observations and lessons learned; track watch items to closure.
• Lead weekly IETT planning meetings and manage logistics.
• Review end-of-day reports and submit data products to the MDDC.
