Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a highly skilled Ground Systems Engineer to support Golden Dome, a DoD initiative for space-based operations.

You will design, develop, integrate, and maintain ground segment architectures, TT&C, and real-time data systems to support national security assets. The role requires 15+ years in ground systems or DoD mission architectures, strong TT&C knowledge, and proficiency with MATLAB, LabVIEW, and STK.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in ground systems engineering or DoD mission architectures.
• Strong knowledge of TT&C, networks, and secure communications.
• Experience with system integration, validation, and troubleshooting in mission-critical environments.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, LabVIEW, STK, and data visualization platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ground System Design And Development: Develop ground system architectures to connect satellites, payloads, and command centers for Golden Dome operations.
• Integration And Testing: Define and execute ground system test plans including functional validation and network performance testing.
• Real-Time Operations Support: Provide technical expertise during ground station setup, operations, and maintenance.
• System Performance And Reliability: Analyze systems to improve performance, reliability, and scalability; implement disaster recovery procedures.
• Collaboration And Technical Coordination: Work with satellite engineers, network experts, mission planners, and DoD stakeholders.
