Job summary

Alliant Energy is hiring for Engineer I–III in Grid Operations. The role advances from Engineering I to III based on experience, emphasizing safety, customer focus, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will engage in planning, system analysis, and protection engineering, contributing to reliable power delivery and continuous improvement. The position requires a ABET-accredited engineering degree and relevant experience; travel and subcontractor coordination may be involved as you develop

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program is required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and support safe design practices across progression levels.
• Identify and mitigate risks and apply safety standards in operations.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and prepare detailed documentation.
• Lead planning and budgeting for projects and investment decisions.
• Develop system knowledge and make informed technical decisions.
