Job summary

Machine Learning Technologies, LLC is seeking an experienced Software Developer specializing in GraphQL and Node.js to design, develop, and optimize scalable APIs and microservices in Sunnyvale, CA. You will design GraphQL schemas, optimize resolvers, and ensure secure, robust backend integrations.

The role requires hands-on GraphQL API development with Apollo Server, Federation, and DataLoader, plus experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and REST/gRPC integrations.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on GraphQL API development experience.
• Proficiency with Node.js backend development.
• Experience with GraphQL schemas, resolvers, queries, mutations, subscriptions.
• Knowledge of Apollo Server, Federation, DataLoader and caching.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and REST/gRPC integrations.
• Understanding of API security, performance optimization, testing, and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain GraphQL APIs and microservices.
• Implement federation or stitching using Apollo Federation or similar.
• Optimize GraphQL with DataLoader, batching, caching, and depth controls.
• Integrate relational and NoSQL databases and REST/gRPC services.
• Ensure API security: auth, RBAC, rate limiting, depth restrictions.
• Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; collaborate with frontend teams.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and CI/CD improvements.
