Job summary

UDAF in Utah is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst III to join its Finance team in a hybrid office setting in Taylorsville. The role focuses on federal grants and travel/p-card compliance, analyzing financial activity and monitoring budget execution.

You will develop forecasts, prepare reports for leadership, and support year-end close, with preference for candidates familiar with Utah state government systems and budgets.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of governmental budgeting, accounting, or financial analysis experience.
• Experience managing complex financial assignments across multiple systems.
• Proficient in Excel and Access for financial data analysis.
• Strong ability to communicate complex financial information to leadership.
• Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary Finance analyst for assigned grants and Concur transactions.
• Perform compliance reviews for travel and p-card transactions.
• Complete grant reconciliations and prepare reimbursement documentation.
• Monitor budget execution and identify emerging issues and risks.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports for leadership and executives.
• Support fiscal year-end closing, reconciliations, and transition activities.
• Develop budget tools, dashboards, and financial models for management.
