Job summary

Foothill-De Anza Community College District is seeking a qualified accounting professional to manage district funds with focus on grants, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and audits. The role supports reporting to the Director of Budget Operations and Grants and interfaces with program managers for reporting and compliance.

The position emphasizes advanced accounting, reconciliation across multiple funds, and training staff on accounting practices.

Qualifications

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
Governmental or public higher education accounting and financing.
Specialized accounting related to grants, federal compliance for grants, construction accounting, or debt service.
English usage, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, and punctuation.

Responsibilities

Provide complex professional accounting assistance in budget/admin, including forecasts, reports, and audits.
Coordinate financial programs for extramural grants, categorical funding, and debt service.
Assist in development and administration of grant/program budgets with revenue/expenditure projections.
Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
Maintain controls for fixed assets and monitor grant funds for compliance.
