Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in grant strategy, grant writing, or public funding advocacy for cities or local agencies.
• Track record of securing competitive federal, state, and regional grant funding with verifiable awards.
• Knowledge of USDOT, HUD, FEMA, EPA, and DOJ grant programs.
• Familiarity with California funding programs administered by Caltrans, HCD, CalOES, and regional councils.
• Ability to provide two professional references from public agency clients.
• Excellent writing, editing, and project management skills.
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage workloads across priorities.
• Authorized to work in the United States; willing to travel to Dublin, CA for meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive citywide grant strategy and funding plans.
• Identify and monitor opportunities across federal, state, and regional programs.
• Draft complete, compliant grant applications and manage submissions.
• Coordinate with City departments, engineers, and subject matter experts.
• Oversee post‑award administration and reporting requirements.
• Lead monthly progress meetings and provide status reports.
