Job summary

The City of Seattle's Seattle Department of Transportation seeks two Senior Grant Funds Coordinators to lead Federal and State grants management, including reporting, budget alignment, and agreements. Hybrid work with 3 days in the office and 2 remote days; strong candidates will have a Bachelor's and at least 3 years in grant administration; proficiency with Microsoft Office and cross‑agency coordination.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, finance, economics, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience in financial analysis, project management, grant administration, inter-agency agreements, or contract administration.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze, present, and communicate information clearly at all levels.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare scheduled grant reports for state and federal agencies.
  • Serve as SDOT’s primary point of contact for grantors and manage communications.
  • Lead quarterly grant check-ins with WSDOT, FHWA, and related agencies.
  • Monitor grant budgets and explain variances in monthly reviews.
  • Develop grant obligation packages to support agreements.
