Job summary

ByteDance is seeking an experienced Senior Production Systems Engineer to lead the introduction and productionization of GPU infrastructure in our New York data centers. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of high-density AI platforms, coordinate across hardware, data center, and vendor teams, and drive reliability through automation and telemetry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in production systems, infrastructure engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, hardware systems engineering, or large-scale data center operations.
• Proven experience introducing and productionising large-scale GPU infrastructure (NVIDIA GB200/GB300 NVL72, HGX or DGX B200/B300) across qualification, deployment, and post-launch reliability.
• Deep knowledge of Linux administration and troubleshooting with hardware/firmware concepts (BIOS/UEFI, BMC, Redfish, PCIe).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end deployment and production readiness of GPU infrastructure across data centers.
• Coordinate with hardware, data center, network, storage, power, and vendor teams to resolve system-level challenges.
• Develop monitoring, telemetry, and automation tooling for provisioning, configuration, and incident response.
• Drive incident handling, root-cause analysis, and preventive actions across global teams.
• Mentor engineers and drive cross-functional infrastructure programs with partners and vendors.
