Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff to advance GPU libraries within the ROCm ecosystem. You will work cross-functionally with software engineers and applied mathematicians to optimize libraries for high-performance computing and ML workloads on GPUs.

You will collaborate with hardware and software teams, translate architectural ideas into practical software, and mentor others while expanding your architectural scope over time.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with C++ and GPU programming.
• Experience with CUDA, HIP, OpenMP, MPI, or OpenCL for accelerated computing.
• Familiarity with Python and AI/ML frameworks.
• Experience contributing to high-performance software and open-source projects.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate across library teams to design, implement, validate, and deliver key software library capabilities and integrate GPU kernels into broader systems.
• Contribute to architecture, design, and documentation efforts across teams.
• Guide technical execution within library teams on broad and complex challenges with senior staff.
• Identify gaps at project scope and plan remediation with library owners and engineering colleagues.
• Mentor junior staff and promote internal best practices in an agile software lifecycle.
