Job summary

Hydra Host, Inc. is seeking a Support Engineer for GPU infrastructure in a fully remote environment. You will diagnose issues across Linux hosts, hardware, and network, driving incidents to resolution with collaboration across data centers and vendors.

Expect hands-on work with NVIDIA GPU servers, out-of-band management, and root-cause analysis. This role emphasizes written communication, runbook creation, and operational improvements in production environments.

Qualifications

• Three or more years supporting production servers, data center infrastructure, or bare metal and cloud environments.
• Strong hands-on Linux troubleshooting on a console with logs, dmesg, systemd, storage tools, and network utilities.
• Experience with out-of-band management interfaces (IPMI/Redfish/iDRAC/iLO) and server hardware lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose across the stack from Linux host to hardware and network, including boot failures, storage, and drivers.
• Own the incident from detection to resolution and handoff with clear closure.
• Coordinate with data center partners for remote hands, cabling, and vendor RMAs.
• Write runbooks after solving issues to capture fix and prevent recurrence.
• Escalate to engineering with an evidence pack; contribute to post-incident reviews.
