Job summary

AMD Austin, TX is seeking an experienced C++ developer to join the Collectives and Network Performance team. You will optimize collective communication libraries and training/inference performance across multi-GPU and multi-node systems, working with internal GPU libraries and ROCm teams.

The ideal candidate has a strong track record in Linux, profiling distributed AI workloads, and mentoring engineers. Master’s degree preferred; location in Austin or San Jose; visa sponsorship not offered.

Qualifications

• Strong C++ development experience in Linux environments.
• Experience with distributed AI workloads and performance optimization.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop Collective Communication Features across scale-up and scale-out networks.
• Profile and optimize DL workloads on single-node and multi-node systems.
• Own features end-to-end from design to validation.
• Develop tools for benchmarking and performance estimation.
• Collaborate with GPU library, ROCm, and open-source maintainers.
• Provide hardware-software co-design input and guidance.
