Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Hardware Engineer for its GPU Accelerator team in Seattle. You will own manufacturing stability, engage from design through volume production, and lead DFx reviews—driving quality, test strategy, and throughput on complex server hardware.

You will interface with hardware design, supply chain, and ODMs/CMs to ensure manufacturability and fleet health, while solving line-level failures and enabling scalable production ramp.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years end-to-end product delivery experience.
  • 7+ years manufacturing or manufacturing engineering in hardware platforms.
  • Hands-on hardware debugging across electrical, firmware, and mechanical domains.
  • Experience with SMT assembly and PCB fabrication/assembly for HDI boards.
  • Experience driving quality and schedule at multinational ODMs/CMs.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally ~25%.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end NPI manufacturing execution for GPU accelerator platforms across EVT/DVT/PVT builds and pilot production.
  • Perform NUDD risk assessments and carry-over analysis to identify and mitigate manufacturing risks before design freeze.
  • Develop First Build Readiness Plans covering BOM availability, assembly strategy, test code readiness, and build instructions.
  • Define Manufacturing Test Strategy including test flows, coverage, fixture requirements, and buy-off criteria.
  • Lead DFx reviews and drive design improvements with hardware engineering teams.
