Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Cloud Hardware Development Engineer to define server architectures for the AWS AI/ML UltraServer platform. You will drive validation from PCBA bring-up through rack integration and own fleet quality metrics post-launch.

You will lead ODM/JDM partners through development milestones, work with firmware, software, and operations teams, and mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced, global cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of hardware design and development experience for server, compute, or large-scale infrastructure platforms.
• Experience in thermal/mechanical design, power delivery, high-speed signal integrity, or accelerator subsystems.
• Experience leading hardware development through full product lifecycle (concept through production ramp).
• Experience with ODMs/JDMs through development milestones and production ramp.

Responsibilities

• Define server architectures based on workload demand and translate into detailed designs and specifications for AI training/inference at scale.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver cohesive designs and drive design reviews with ODM/JDM partners.
• Define and execute validation strategies from PCBA bring-up through server/rack integration.
• Own fleet quality metrics post-launch and drive design improvements based on telemetry and failure data.
• Work with EC2 architecture teams to align on instance definitions and workload requirements.
