Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a Travel Consultant to support the U.S. Military and Government team.

You will create travel arrangements and provide exceptional service for defense and government travelers, both before and after trips, using advanced tools and guidance from experienced colleagues. You will handle a wide range of bookings, including complex itineraries and fare types, working after hours on the M-F second/third shifts as needed to support government contracts,

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience as Travel Consultant in Military & Government.
• Willingness to work after hours M-F, second/third shift.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Create domestic and international travel arrangements including air, hotel, rail, and ground transportation.
• Ensure reservations follow client standards and preferences.
• Provide informed recommendations to deliver the best travel experience.
• Handle bookings from simple to complex with multi-destinations and fare changes.
• Make changes or resolve issues during travel assignments.
• Receive comprehensive training and stay up-to-date via the social intranet.
