Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years purchasing/procurement experience, especially gov't contracting.
• Hands-on DCMA experience including audits and compliance.
• Proficiency in FAR and DFARS compliance.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with procurement software and MS Office.
• CPSM or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of materials, components, and services, ensuring gov't compliance and contract requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and timelines.
• Ensure adherence to DCMA requirements, including records, reporting, and audits.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to maximize value.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues to maintain on-time delivery and quality.
• Develop commodity strategies to reduce cost and lead times while ensuring compliance.
• Prepare RFQ/RFPs and evaluate responses for FAR/DFARS compliance and supplier viability.
• Document procurement actions per state/federal procedures and resolve payment issues.
• Work with Quality and Manufacturing Engineers to assess supplier capability and reliability.
• Create strategies to improve manufacturing productivity and supplier relationships.
