Job summary

Nightwing is seeking a seasoned Government Compliance Leader to partner with leadership and shape our compliance framework for government contracting. You will translate complex FAR/CAS requirements into practical, value-driven solutions and guide strategic decisions across the organization.

Reporting to the Controller, this role offers a flexible work arrangement with in-office or remote designation and the chance to influence audits, pricing, and internal controls while advancing cybersecurity

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive government contract accounting experience with FAR Part 31 and CAS
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in government contracting
  • Proven track record with DCAA and DCMA through audits, negotiations, and dispute resolution
  • Hands-on experience preparing Incurred Cost Submissions, Forward Pricing Rate Proposals, and CAS Disclosure Statements
  • Expert knowledge of indirect rate structures and cost allocation methodologies
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills with ability to translate regulations clearly
  • Self-directed leader with executive presence and pragmatic problem-solving
  • Ability to build and lead high-performing teams and interface with auditors

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with DCAA and DCMA; lead negotiations on FAR/CAS interpretations
  • Oversee government audits including disclosure statements, incurred cost submissions, and business system reviews
  • Anticipate regulatory developments and assess organizational impact for strategic decisions
  • Direct production of submissions: Incurred Cost Proposals, CAS Disclosure Statements, Forward Pricing Rate Proposals, indirect rate analyses
  • Provide SME on cost allocation methodologies and rate structures to support competitiveness
  • Support financial statement audits with government contracting perspective
  • Design and operationalize policies embedding compliance into operations
