Job summary

The Maven Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support government cloud platforms in Raleigh, NC. The role focuses on secure design, implementation, and operation of next‑generation networks for U.S. Government programs.

The ideal candidate has DoD experience and leads secure networking initiatives across Cisco, Palo Alto, Dell, and TACLANE hardware with AWS cloud integration. Strong documentation and cross‑team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
• U.S. Citizen (No Dual Citizenship).
• 5+ years of Network Engineering experience.
• Experience designing, installing, configuring, and securing enterprise network infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Dell, TACLANE, or similar networking technologies.
• Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and secure network architectures.
• AWS cloud networking experience (VPCs, Transit Gateway, Security Groups, NACLs).
• Experience supporting Windows and Linux environments.
• Experience performing site surveys, network installations, testing, and documentation.
• Ability to create and maintain network diagrams using Visio or similar tools.
• Experience supporting ATO documentation and secure government networking environments preferred.
• Strong communication, customer interaction, and technical leadership skills.
• Security+, CCNA Security, or another DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or ability to obtain shortly after hire).
• CCNP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design secure network solutions for cloud-based development environments.
• Build and maintain enterprise networking infrastructure for government programs.
• Work with customers to gather requirements and develop secure networking solutions.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and secure network hardware and cloud connectivity.
• Produce network documentation, diagrams, and technical deliverables.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and cybersecurity teams.
• Occasional travel for site surveys, installations, and testing.
