Job summary

Moorestown Field Club in Moorestown, NJ, seeks a Golf Course Superintendent to lead maintenance of the 18-hole course, practice facilities, and courts. You will manage agronomic programs, budgeting, and staff, balancing playability with member service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive golf course maintenance at private clubs or high-quality facilities.
• Proven knowledge of turfgrass management, irrigation, drainage, environmental stewardship, and agronomic best practices.
• Experience leading, training, and developing a grounds team with a culture of accountability.
• Experience preparing and managing operating and capital budgets, equipment, and resource allocation.
• Strong communication with members, leadership, and committees; valid pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of golf course maintenance and grounds operations to provide exceptional year-round playing conditions.
• Develop and implement turfgrass, irrigation, drainage, and environmental stewardship programs.
• Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing grounds team and manage budgets.
• Collaborate with Green Committee, GM, Golf Pro, and club leadership on priorities and improvements.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, fleet management, and procurement of supplies.
• Maintain visible presence on the course and communicate with members about conditions and projects.
• Supervise tennis, pickleball, and bocce court maintenance and related facilities.
• Lead capital projects including irrigation, drainage, bunker renovations, and course enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and chemical-use regulations.
