Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts in Tucson, Arizona seeks an Equipment Operator III - Golf Course Maintenance to keep the course in outstanding condition. You will apply working knowledge of entry level maintenance tasks and safely operate most maintenance equipment to support daily play.

This position requires outdoor work in varied weather, teamwork, and a commitment to safety and quality according to Omni policies. Prior golf course maintenance experience or related training is required.

Qualifications

• 4 years of golf course maintenance experience or related training, especially equipment operation.
• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather extremes.
• Must be able to operate and work around hazardous equipment including but not limited to hand tools, trimming tools, mowing equipment, transportation vehicles.
• Must be able to work weekdays and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Arrive in uniform with a positive attitude and be prepared for the day.
• Understand the daily job assignment chart and its relation to that day’s play.
• Recognize equipment applications to select the proper tool for each task.
• Demonstrate a basic knowledge of golf rules and expected playing conditions.
• Function as a team member to accomplish daily goals.
• Carry out maintenance tasks with pride to meet quality guidelines for daily conditioning.
• Inspect tools and equipment before, during, and after use; report issues to a supervisor.
• Adhere to Omni Hotels rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook.
