7Seventy is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specialized in data infrastructure built with Go. This role is fully remote within the United States and requires overlap with Pacific Time.

You will design scalable backend systems and operate high-performance data infrastructure for large-scale applications. Responsibilities include scaling Go services, building mission-critical data infrastructure, and driving architecture decisions to ensure reliability and performance at scale across

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Go experience or similar backend development
• Experience building scalable backend systems with high throughput (1M+ OPS)
• Strong understanding of OS, networking, and storage concepts
• Relational databases: Postgres, MySQL, or SQLite
• Distributed data stores: Cassandra, Scylla, Redis, ClickHouse
• Search systems: Elasticsearch
• Able to work in a small, fast-moving team
• Excellent communication and independence

Responsibilities

• Scale Go services to support hundreds of millions of users
• Design and build data infrastructure powering API traffic
• Architect systems using tens of TB RAM and thousands of CPU cores
• Maintain distributed backend services with high query throughput
• Optimize storage performance for NVMe systems
• Improve reliability, observability, and resilience
• Participate in architectural decisions and design reviews
• Continuously evaluate scalability and efficiency
