Job summary

Rendezvous Robotics in Golden, CO seeks a Senior GNC Engineer, Navigation (Swarm/Vehicle) to own relative‑state estimation and docking navigation. You will design, implement, and verify filters, and integrate navigation into onboard flight software while collaborating with control, perception and avionics teams.

This role requires strong C++/Python skills, HITL experience, and a background in Kalman filtering, sensor fusion, and high‑fidelity navigation concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, electrical engineering, physics, mathematics or related field.
• Software development experience in C++ and Python.
• 5+ years of GNC or state-estimation experience (preferred).
• Expertise in Kalman filtering, sensor fusion, and covariance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop reliable state estimation and navigation algorithms, simulations, tools, and dashboards in C++ and Python.
• Own relative‑state estimation for proximity operations and docking: design and tune filters.
• Deliver pose/position knowledge meeting range‑dependent requirements for closed‑loop stability.
• Define perception interfaces to navigation and verify estimator performance with HITL experiments.
• Support flight operations and on‑orbit health monitoring, leading anomaly investigations.
