Job summary

Cummings Aerospace, Inc. in Arlington, VA, seeks a Senior GNC Engineer to develop and assess guidance, navigation, and control for a hypersonic system. You will model, simulate, and trade study GNC concepts and deliver analyses to customers.

The role requires a BS in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering (MS preferred), 12+ years of GNC experience, and strong C/C++ coding skills. You will work both independently and in a team, report to the Program Manager, and support hardware-in-the-loop testing

Qualifications

• BS in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering; MS preferred.
• 12+ years of engineering experience with GNC design, development, and test for DoD programs.
• Experience modeling GNC systems and conducting missile system trade studies.
• Experience coding in C and C++.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of classical and modern methods in design, analysis, modeling, and simulation of GNC systems.
• Develop GNC models and algorithms for aerospace vehicle simulations.
• Perform engineering trade studies to support GNC design and performance analysis.
• Support hardware-in-the-loop test bed development, integration, and execution.
• Document and present analysis results to technical leads, management, and customers.
• Lead development and on-time delivery of technical products to customers.
• Assist with program management tasks including personnel management, resource planning, scheduling, execution, and reporting.
• Ensure corporate policies and procedures are adhered to in daily duties.
• Support program meetings and technical reviews with internal and external customers.
• Support other duties as assigned.
