Job summary

Cummings Aerospace Inc. is seeking a Senior GNC Engineer in Arlington, VA to support the development of GNC modeling and simulation tools and algorithms for hypersonic systems. You will perform GNC trade studies, assess performance, and present results to customers and management.

The role requires a BS in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering (MS preferred), 12+ years in GNC, and experience with C/C++ coding. Active Secret clearance is required; Top Secret preferred.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering required.
• MS preferred.
• At least 12 years of engineering experience with GNC system design, development, and test for a DoD program.
• Experience modeling GNC systems and conducting missile system trade studies.
• Experience coding in C and C++.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of classical and modern methods in design, analysis, modeling, and simulation of GNC systems.
• Develop GNC models and algorithms for aerospace vehicle simulations.
• Perform engineering trade studies to support GNC design and performance analysis.
• Support hardware-in-the-loop test bed development, integration, and execution for aerospace vehicles.
• Document and present analysis results to technical leads, management, and customers.
• Lead the development and on-time delivery of technical products to our customers.
• May assist with program management tasks including: personnel management, resource planning, scheduling, execution, and reporting.
