Job summary

A leading aerospace engineering firm is looking for a Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer to support NASA's deep space logistics missions at Kennedy Space Center, FL. This full-time role involves developing GN&C algorithms, overseeing system requirements, and performing independent verification and validation of systems for space operations. Candidates must possess a relevant engineering degree and have comprehensive experience in modeling and simulation, particularly with space systems and trajectory analysis. Excellent communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in engineering or related discipline and fourteen years of related experience.
  • Experience with spacecraft trajectory modeling and simulation software.
  • Experience developing GN&C algorithms and proof-of-concept validation.

Responsibilities

  • Support mission-enabling GN&C requirements for GLS systems.
  • Perform modeling and simulation analysis for requirements validation.
  • Review system architecture and provide design recommendations.

Skills

Experience with FreeFlyer, STK, Copernicus
Developing GN&C algorithms
Knowledge of navigation sensors
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment

Education

B.S. degree in engineering or related discipline
M.S. degree preferred
