Job summary

Mohawk Industries in Mount Gilead, NC, is seeking a Sr Manager Safety to lead our safety programs, planning, directing and implementing initiatives that prevent injuries and ensure regulatory compliance across sites.

You will collaborate with multiple departments to build a culture of safety, deliver training, analyze incidents, maintain records, and mentor a direct team while traveling occasionally to sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
• 8-10 years of relevant experience with safety leadership.
• 3-5 years of management experience.
• Safety certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures compliant with OSHA rules.
• Plan and deliver site-wide training on accident prevention and compliance.
• Analyze incidents and health hazards to guide prevention strategies.
• Prepare documentation of incident reports and safety metrics.
• Audit facilities to identify hazards and gaps in safety systems.
• Provide safety information and communication materials for training sessions.
• Coordinate investigations of incidents with site managers.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
