Job summary

John Crane, part of Smiths Group, seeks a senior regulatory leader to ensure product compliance with global requirements. You will guide cross-functional teams on regulatory developments, manage SDS creation and updates, and drive timely implementation of new rules across products and processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related technical field required.
  • Master’s degree in Inorganic Chemistry or related discipline preferred.
  • Significant relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in global product regulatory compliance or chemical regulatory affairs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead coordination and preparation of internal and external audits and compliance activities.
  • Provide senior-level guidance on product regulatory compliance across the organization.
  • Monitor, track, and interpret relevant laws and standards; translate into practical actions.
  • Perform regulatory risk reviews across product lifecycle; collaborate with QHSE, Procurement, Sales & Marketing, Materials Lab.
  • Oversee data collection and analysis of regulatory compliance information; support supplier documentation.
  • Respond to regulatory inquiries from customers and stakeholders; guide compliant responses.
