Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a senior procurement leader to join the Data Center Procurement team within AIS-SC.

You will lead a global team of procurement managers across regions, owning the goods and services portfolio that keeps data center operations running. You will build and refine category strategies, partner with suppliers to drive long-term outcomes, and hold your team accountable for delivering measurable results that impact Amazon's bottom line.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of building and leading large teams in matrixed operating structures.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalent.
• Experience in strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures or equivalent.
• Experience negotiating VP-level contracts with channel partners and agencies.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product Management, Customer Service, Operations, Legal, Finance, and Senior Leadership.

In this role, you will lead a team of procurement managers across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific regions, owning the goods and services portfolio that keeps data center operations running — including maintenance, repair and operations services, security services and equipment, and environmental health and safety services.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead a global team of procurement managers to develop and execute regional and global category strategies that scale procurement support in step with AWS's expanding infrastructure.
• Build and strengthen supplier qualification programs, mitigate supply-base risk, and drive executive-level engagement with key strategic suppliers.

A day in the life

Your morning may start with a strategy review alongside your regional procurement leads, aligning on category priorities for an upcoming data center launch. You then shift to a supplier executive meeting to negotiate terms on a critical services contract. After lunch, you connect with internal automation teams to review progress on a process optimization initiative before checking performance dashboards with your team. You close out by coaching one of your managers on a complex stakeholder engagement, helping them navigate competing priorities across regions.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
