Job description

Senior Global Partner Business Development Manager, Partner Programs

Job ID: 10506077 | Amazon Web Services, Inc.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) customers are transforming and reinventing their businesses with AI and AWS partners are helping to dramatically accelerate that innovation, with more than 100k Partners in more than 150 countries. As AI reshapes how customers build, deploy, and scale on AWS, the partner ecosystem is evolving rapidly to meet new demands for specialized capabilities and cloud-native expertise.

The AWS Partner Organization is looking for a Partner Business Development Manager to drive the strategy and execution for market-leading Programs designed to differentiate highly skilled, trusted AWS Partners in this era of rapid technological transformation.

This role is responsible for end-to-end strategy and execution of our key differentiation program; AWS Specialization Program. This includes ownership of program governance, partner enablement, operational mechanisms, and cross-functional coordination to ensure the program is running effectively and delivering value to partners and customers in a rapidly evolving AI-driven landscape. This individual owns holding a high bar for program quality, managing competing internal priorities, and driving continuous improvement across the portfolio — including identifying how AI and automation can be leveraged to scale programs and improve the partner experience.

Key job responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end program execution for AWS Specialization Programs — manage program governance, lead the launch roadmap, develop new benefits, and drive partner portfolio growth,
  • Solve complex business challenges through programmatic solutions; partner with technical, marketing, systems, and field stakeholders on program design and requirements. Build strong relationships across partner development, field, and technical teams — define roadmap priorities, deliver actionable insights, and drive outcomes through others by equipping teams with the tools, data, and context to execute scalable solutions
  • Define, track, and report on program metrics across weekly/monthly/quarterly business reviews; own goal-setting, performance reporting, and stakeholder communications cadence
  • Identify and drive operational excellence improvements based on business strategy, customer/partner behavior, and emerging technology trends

A day in the life

This role has a global responsibility and will work closely with delivery teams, specialist teams, partner development managers, solution architects, our partners, and our sales teams.

Shape the future: Define and evolve program strategy to stay ahead of market shifts — including how AI, cloud-native, and emerging technologies change what "specialized" means for partners.

Manage competing priorities: Balance requests from Specialization owners, field teams, and leadership while maintaining program quality and timelines.

Drive alignment globally: Work across regional teams, product, and engineering to ensure programs are consistent, scalable, and responsive to local market needs.

Measure and iterate: Define success metrics, track program outcomes, and continuously refine the strategic direction based on what drives real partner and customer impact.
