Job summary

Vertex is seeking an Associate Director, Global Pain Forecasting & Analytics to lead forecasting for the global Pain portfolio, collaborating with Global Pain Marketing Lead and Global Commercial Strategy to shape long-range planning and commercialization decisions.

The role builds and evolves forecasting capabilities, integrating clinical data, market signals, and competitive intelligence into robust models, and communicates insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of biotech/pharma quantitative experience in Commercial, Global Commercial Strategy, Finance or Consulting.
• Prior in-line forecasting experience, ideally for marketed products.
• Experience in Pain, neuroscience, or adjacent areas is a plus.
• Strong ability to translate data into actionable strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and evolution of global Pain forecast models across current and future assets.
• Support long-range and scenario planning with robust forecasting approaches.
• Develop operational forecasting models using new data, market signals, and insights.
• Own forecast frameworks, data sources, and research-informed assumptions.
• Deliver outputs with clear assumptions, sensitivities, risks and uncertainties.
• Partner with Global Pain Marketing Lead and Global Commercial Strategy for commercial planning.
