You will partner with business teams to assess regulatory requirements, draft guidance, and coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counsel. The role requires strong judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to translate complex laws into practical actions within a dynamic fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant legal experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• JD or equivalent law degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized legal advice to enable business strategy while managing legal risk.
• Advise on compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Build partnerships with business counterparts across the enterprise to identify and mitigate legal risks.
• Identify and advise on potential legal risks with mitigation options.
• Escalate complex legal issues to senior legal leadership as needed.
• Research new laws and regulatory guidance affecting PayPal's global operations.
• Manage assigned legal matters coordinating with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
• Keep current knowledge of legal developments and communicate implications.
