Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Global Development Scientist Director to join the Hematology R&D group in a Global Study Team role. You will provide scientific input for early and late-phase studies, guide trial design, data interpretation and NDA/BLA readiness, and mentor colleagues in a matrix environment.

The role requires strong collaboration with CPT/SMM teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies, with a focus on delivering high-quality development programs in hematology under GCP standards.

Qualifications

• BS required.
• PhD in a scientific field preferred.
• PharmD or MD strongly preferred.
• Significant Industry or Academic experience in drug development.
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and Good Clinical Practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific input into design and implementation of clinical trials and NDA/BLA readiness.
• Lead protocol development and contribute to clinical study reports.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams for development through regulatory submission.
• Mentor junior clinical team members and lead process improvements.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders including regulatory bodies.
