Overview

A collective energy and ambition. A place where you can make a real difference. We’re a company that genuinely cares about our people, our products, our consumers and the environment. Our unique, informal culture champions courage, determination and collaboration. Knowing we have an open and supportive team means each of us has the freedom to take responsibility and ownership. We have a shared passion to work hard, innovate and push boundaries. United by the belief that when we strive for growth, anything is possible.

While we might not be the largest company in our industry, we believe we can have the biggest impact because: Together We Have the Power to Win. The Senior Global Buyer Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the timely, cost-effective supply of finished goods across our global network. This position owns end-to-end planning and procurement activities, balancing customer service, inventory health, and supply risk while partnering closely with Operations, Sales, Finance, and external manufacturing partners. This is a senior individual contributor role requiring strong judgment, systems expertise, and the ability to lead through influence in a dynamic, global supply environment.

Responsibilities
  • Supply & Inventory Planning: Own demand-driven supply planning for finished goods across multiple global manufacturing locations; monitor demand variability and adjust supply, capacity, and inventory strategies accordingly; develop, monitor, and optimize inventory strategies to support service level, turns, and scrap reduction objectives; manage shortages, back orders, and expedites to meet customer commitments; plan and execute smooth part number changes, product transitions, and end-of-life activities to minimize excess and obsolescence; implement and maintain planning parameters such as safety stock, lead times, and lot sizing.
  • Procurement & Supplier Management: Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with global sourcing and business objectives; manage daily communication with suppliers and serve as a primary escalation point for supply issues; build strong supplier partnerships and lead performance discussions focused on on-time delivery, responsiveness and continuous improvement; conduct monthly supplier delivery performance evaluations and drive corrective actions as needed; support global capacity planning, including planning around extended shutdowns (e.g., Lunar New Year).
  • Systems, Data & Analytics: Maintain data integrity and planning parameters within MRP and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, ePortal); analyze inventory levels, aging, expirations, and turnover to proactively reduce scrap risk; provide input to Finance on scrap exposure and inventory reserve considerations; regularly review planning and fulfillment reports and take action to resolve gaps or risks; leverage advanced analytics, automation, and emerging AI-enabled tools to enhance planning accuracy, improve data quality, and support data-driven supply and procurement decisions.
  • Cross-Functional & Strategic Contributions: Partner with Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to align demand, supply, and inventory plans; support New Product Development (NPD) planning and launch readiness; manage Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) inventory planning when assigned; balance long-term planning with near-term execution (approximately 30% strategic / 70% tactical).
  • What Success Looks Like: Stable customer service levels supported by realistic, executable supply plans; healthy inventory positions with reduced scrap and obsolescence risk; improved supplier delivery performance and stronger external partnerships; high confidence in planning data and system parameters, enabling timely, informed supply decisions despite forecast variability.
Key Capabilities and Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of supply planning, procurement, and inventory management within a global manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends and risks, and make sound, data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and execute effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while exercising strong judgment.
  • Effective communicator able to influence cross-functional partners and external suppliers without direct authority.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term planning objectives and short-term execution needs.
  • Adaptable and resilient, able to adjust plans in response to changing demand, supply, or business conditions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 8+ years combined experience across purchasing, planning, inventory management, operations, logistics, quality, or manufacturing.
  • Proven experience as a Buyer Planner or similar role within a global manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
  • Experience planning across multiple manufacturing lines and locations; capacity planning and supply constraint experience required.
  • Experience working with advanced planning tools, analytics, or AI-enabled systems, or a demonstrated willingness to learn and apply AI and automation tools to improve planning, procurement, and decision-making processes.
Preferred Experience
  • Asia-based or offshore manufacturing experience.
  • Experience planning around extended production shutdowns (e.g., Lunar New Year).
  • New Product Development (NPD) planning experience.
  • Professional certification such as APICS CPIM/CSCP or CPSM (a plus).
