Job summary

Voltage Energy Storage is seeking a GL Accountant for on-site work in Chapel Hill, NC, with relocation to Timberlake, NC as needed. The role emphasizes maintaining the general ledger, month-end closes, intercompany activity, and internal controls for U.S. entities.

You will prepare journal entries and financial statements, support audits, and partner with IT to improve automation and reporting capabilities, while aligning with SOX where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 4–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience managing full-cycle month-end closing.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
• Proficiency with SAP/ERP systems and strong reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• Manage intercompany accounting and eliminations.
• Maintain chart of accounts integrity across entities.
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation, and capital projects.
• Prepare accurate financial statements per U.S. GAAP.
• Support consolidated reporting for multi-entity operations.
• Collaborate with FP&A on forecasting and variance analysis.
