Job summary

Stellent IT LLC is seeking a Senior Data Scientist/Analytics Engineer to join the Data Science Development team within Network Planning. You will modernize, evolve, and scale geospatial and statistical fiber modeling platforms—routing, network optimization, and FDH modeling engines.

You will architect and unify network routing engines, scale geospatial datasets, optimize cloud databases, and deliver spatial analytics guiding national broadband strategy. Hybrid work model is supported.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Python experience, MST/Dijkstra/graph theory, large ETL datasets, and spatial visualization tools (QGIS, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS S3).
• Experience with PostGIS, ESRI/ArcGIS frameworks, and open-source mapping platforms.
• Hands-on routing and network optimization in a geospatial context with cloud-based data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize spatial routing and network planning models across core platforms and fiber mapping engines.
• Converge legacy spatial planning scripts into a unified, high-performance network modeling stack.
• Execute large-scale FDH/FTTH remodeling using Dijkstra/Kruskal and other MST algorithms on network topology and spatial datasets.
• Standardize spatial graph processing and routing to handle large datasets (shapefiles, GeoJSON).
• Integrate diverse spatial datasets into automated ETL pipelines for high-accuracy routing and analysis; oversee cloud databases.
