Job summary

Orange County Government’s Engineering Division seeks a Sr. GIS Analyst to lead GIS projects and develop solutions for Utilities’ systems. It supports over 900 staff across GIS, GPS, CIP, Development, Field Operations and more with data analysis, tools, and applications.

The role emphasizes collaboration with county agencies and external partners. The position requires a Bachelor's degree with 4 years GIS experience; a Master’s degree may substitute for two years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of progressive GIS experience.
• Master’s degree or higher may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• In lieu of education, additional relevant experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages GIS projects.
• Performs advanced data analysis and statistics for Utilities needs.
• Analyzes, troubleshoots, and improves systems, applications, databases, macros, and procedures.
• Develops or enhances software applications per specifications.
