Job summary

Vantor Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to support the creation of high-fidelity synthetic environments for defense training and operational analysis. You will lead data acquisition, processing, and quality assurance of geospatial content used in terrain generation and modeling.

The role requires strong ArcGIS Pro and FME skills, experience with QGIS, and the ability to mentor junior analysts in an Agile environment. Security-conscious practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Cartography, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional GIS/geospatial experience and data processing.
• Advanced ArcGIS Pro skills and experience with Safe Software FME.
• Experience with QGIS and open-source geospatial tools.
• Strong knowledge of coordinate systems, data models, and metadata.

Responsibilities

• Lead geospatial data preparation for synthetic-environment and simulation applications.
• Acquire, integrate, and process geospatial datasets from diverse sources.
• Edit, attribute, and maintain curated vector features and terrain content.
• Develop repeatable GIS workflows and automation scripts for data processing.
• Ensure QA/QC, topology checks, and metadata compliance.
• Produce technical documentation, data dictionaries, and test procedures.
• Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and GIS professionals in Agile teams.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to security-conscious development.
