Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources seeks a full-time GIS Analyst / Research Analysis Specialist Senior in Hibbing, MN. You will build and maintain a GIS database to track tax-forfeit mineral ownership and prepare digital maps for clear communication to management.

Your work will include creating datasets for state mineral ownership, performing spatial analyses, and delivering web pages, posters, and other digital products for informed decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cartography, GIS, or statistical analysis or related field.
• 3 years of GIS and geospatial analysis experience; master's may substitute.
• Experience with MS Access and Excel databases.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro/Enterprise and cartographic standards.
• Ability to translate technical data into plain language.
