Overview
Responsibilities
Technical authority for ground-structure interactions for SMR site characterization and foundation design
Own subsurface investigations, seismic site response, critical foundation design/monitoring, and licensing inputs
Oversee Seismic Category I foundations, deep soil mixing, rock anchoring under below-grade structures
Ensure geotechnical lab testing + field inspections comply with NQA-1
Provide input/defense of Geotechnical & Seismology sections for NRC/international license applications
Support PSHA and determination of SSE parameters
Develop/review 3D hydrogeological models (groundwater chemistry/flow impacts on foundations)
Review heavy-haul paths for large modules/components
