Job summary

S&ME seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for a full‑time role in New Albany, Indiana. You will lead geotechnical projects from planning through delivery, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to client relationships. The position offers growth, hands‑on learning, and a chance to impact diverse projects.

You will use advanced subsurface investigations, analysis, and design to produce practical solutions and support business development while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
• PE license or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
• Minimum of 8 years of project management experience in A/E/C.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee advanced geotechnical evaluations for foundations, settlement, slope stability, and ground improvement.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution and mentor junior staff.
• Produce clear technical reports, contribute to proposals, and support marketing and client relationships.
• Promote safety, quality, and schedule adherence across all project phases.
