Job summary

Langan International, LLC in Orlando, FL is seeking a Senior Staff Geotechnical Engineer to join a collaborative team. The role focuses on designing earth structures, foundations, and retaining walls, and coordinating geotechnical investigations and reporting.

You will conduct field work, assist in project management, and prepare logs and geotechnical documents. A Bachelor's in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering and 3+ years of experience are required; FE/EIT is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required.
• 3+ years of related geotechnical experience in investigations and construction inspections.
• FE/EIT certification preferred.
• Office experience with investigation and field work coordination, geotechnical reports, and specification writing.
• Experience with earthwork, pile construction, load testing, and retaining wall design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design earth structures, deep foundations, support of excavation and underpinning systems.
• Assist project manager with field work coordination and project management support.
• Scope and oversee geotechnical investigations and construction projects, and perform field inspections as needed.
• Coordinate investigations and assist in geotechnical report writing.
• Prepare logs and field forms (drilling logs, test pit logs, dailies, chain of custody).
• Fieldwork is required; participate in client meetings and site visits.
• Perform other duties as requested.
