Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking a Senior Staff Geotechnical Engineer to join our collaborative team in San Francisco or San Jose. You will help prepare technical reports, specifications, plans, and design foundations, retaining walls, and other geotechnical elements of construction.

Fieldwork is required and there is cross-functional collaboration on premier land development projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required; Master's preferred.
• 3+ years of geotechnical experience in investigations and construction inspections.
• FE/EIT certification preferred.
• Experience coordinating field work, geotechnical reports and specs.
• Proficiency with listed geotechnical software and report writing.
• Strong written/verbal communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design earth structures, deep foundations, and support systems.
• Coordinate field work and project management support.
• Oversee geotechnical investigations and inspections on projects.
• Coordinate investigations and assist in geotechnical report writing.
• Prepare logs, forms, and field documentation; perform fieldwork.
• Perform other duties as required.
