Job summary

MAXAR TECHNOLOGIES, INC. seeks a seasoned ETL/ NiFi engineer to design and manage NiFi-driven data pipelines for geospatial visualization. You will work with AWS and PostgreSQL, optimize data flows, and collaborate with analysts to align requirements with enterprise standards.

The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance, U.S. citizenship, and onsite work in McLean, VA, with strong SQL, API, and Python skills to support data ingestion, quality, and performance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field with substantial ETL/data experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with required polygraph and U.S. citizenship required.
• Willingness to work onsite full-time.
• Strong understanding of ETL concepts and best practices.
• Experience with databases for data management and SQL for large datasets.
• Experience with API integration and data retrieval.
• Ability to rapidly adopt containerized development and AWS proficiency.
• Experience with NiFi registry and Git for code management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and manage ETL workflows using Apache NiFi.
• Learn and monitor NiFi system alongside AWS and PostgreSQL infra.
• Develop new NiFi flows following existing best practices.
• Interface with analysts to refine data flow requirements.
• Collaborate with development using containerized environments and Git/NiFi Registry.
• Query and analyze large datasets with SQL.
• Retrieve and process data from external systems via APIs.
• Support data quality, integrity, and performance optimization.
• Develop Python in support of data science and ETL prototypes.
