Job summary
TEKsystems is seeking a Senior Data Scientist – Geospatial to lead the design and delivery of advanced analytics using geospatial data. This role requires deep data science expertise and hands-on spatial analytics at scale, mentoring junior scientists and collaborating with GIS teams to translate geospatial insights into business value.
The ideal candidate has GIS tools such as ArcGIS, Python, and Databricks, with experience building production-grade GIS tools and workflows.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree with 6–8 years of experience in data science and GIS, with focus on the last 4 years.
- Strong background in geospatial analysis and ESRI tools/platforms for product creation; ArcGIS Enterprise
- Databricks and AI/ML experience is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Work on spatial data, architecture, and automation to support analysts building maps.
- Lead the design and delivery of advanced analytical and modeling solutions using geospatial data; mentor junior data scientists.
- Develop scalable GIS tools, analytical applications, spatial data products, and reusable geoprocessing capabilities; guide enterprise geospatial architecture.
