Job summary

Vantor is seeking a geospatial data professional to automate data ingestion and analysis using Python and AWS. You will apply geospatial techniques to extract mission-relevant insights and create maps and visualizations for diverse audiences.

Required TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, bachelor's degree with 3+ years or master's with 1+ year experience, and willingness to work on-site in a security-cleared environment.

Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Active U.S. Government Security Clearance at the TS/SCI level with required polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 1+ year of relevant experience
• Strong experience using Python for geospatial data transformation, automation, and analysis
• Strong experience working with geospatial data in thick-client GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS)
• Experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS, AWS services, and Linux-based environments
• U.S. citizenship and Active TS/SCI with required polygraph
• willingness to work on-site full time

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Python notebooks (e.g., Jupyter) for exploratory and reproducible analysis
• Experience integrating and consuming data via REST APIs
• Experience with R, Tableau, or similar analytical and visualization tools
• Experience with Apache NiFi or comparable data workflow/orchestration tools
• Familiarity with Git for versioning scripts and analytic artifacts

Pay Transparency:

To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range. The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidate's experience, expertise, and alignment with the role.

• The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $140,000.00 - $187,000.00 - $205,700.00 annually.
