Job summary

MANTECH in Springfield, VA seeks a Senior Data Manager to lead the data and AI practice for a government client. You will oversee EO/SAR data pipelines, manage a team of contractors, and serve as the primary interface with the Government to ensure timely delivery of data products.

The role requires strong program and people management, experience with large geospatial datasets, ETL, SQL/NoSQL, and cloud architectures, and TS/SCI clearance. On-site work is required in Springfield, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Engineering, or Geospatial analysis.
• 3+ years of people management experience with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• 4+ years of quantitative data analysis, creating visualizations, processing complex data, and ETL.
• Working knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and cloud architectures.
• 2+ years of experience with large, complex geospatial data files and formats.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership over EO/SAR preprocessing operations and data pipelines.
• Serve as the Government's primary interface to the team and manage contractors.
• Oversee data acquisition, ingestion, preprocessing, transformations, and bi-directional data movement.
• Direct contractor data operations teams and provide project management guidance and technical expertise.
• Perform regular QC to ensure compliance with data schemas and standards.
• Apply best practices to maximize pipeline efficiency across sensor modalities like EO, FMV, HMI, and SAR.
• Maintain data dictionaries, ERDs, and code comments/documentation.
