Job summary

The Texas Water Development Board seeks a senior geosciences professional to support the Recorder Well Program. You will install and maintain groundwater monitoring equipment, collect field data, and analyze hydrogeological information to inform statewide water resources decisions.

You will travel across Texas about 50% of the time, perform data QA/QC, prepare reports and maps, and collaborate with staff to advance our groundwater monitoring initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in Geology, Hydrogeology, or related field.
• Five years of relevant geosciences work experience.
• Licensed as a Professional Geoscientist by the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair recorder equipment, transmitters, sensors, and data loggers in field sites.
• Conduct statewide fieldwork and travel approximately 50% of the time.
• Collect, review, and manage geological and hydrogeological data for analysis.
• Prepare plans, estimates, calculations, and data-driven recommendations.
• Develop maps and reports; support outreach and training related to Recorder Well Program.
